Guess we’d never care???
Ever saw someone hovering round
Round and round the trunk
Like a fidget weaving lies
Engrossed in the trancing eyes??
I’ve traversed along.
Ever seen a kindling fire
Scuffling out of air??
Nomads kneel down
Against all the natural bliss
Hoping for a bloom
Against all tides that come across.
But we… we shove them all
Like those hovering souls
Around trunks who hurl away
the gloom before their dreams.
Devouring us all into an abyss
Like the fire dying out of air.
No sooner we will delve
Into our screens
Smearing the pretense all over.
Should we care
About our alluring home??
….Remains an undying quest.
We all are aware of the massacre engulfing the air around us. Well, it’s debatable for the scribblers and delegates of Parliament. But when it comes to realizing it’s our home only, we suddenly become conscious about it apparently.
Tragic truth yet conceived. So an effort to sue up your minds with a free verse here…

Yes. Only thing we are – guilty. Nothing bothers us until it gets till our reach. If not our home, it won’t be anything that will ever let us confide in.

Except for the young children, all humans are guilty somehow. However, those who are trying to help the planet the right way are guiltless and should be heard. Sadly most environmental organization are more eager to collect money than save Earth. I doubt that they will be happy if all the environment crisis were to magically vanish.

Great lines. This calls to make our home safe and habitable. Frankly, we hardly care. We care more about modernization than we care about the only home we have. We are all guilty.

To save Earth is the most important yet the least prioritized issue today. A lot of us may say but nothing is really working on the ground level.

The reality is there quite vivid and clear for everyone. Fact is we tend to fetch for the outcome. This concern arises when there’s an alarm of some sort. And now with all these crisis, days are not far away when we’ll be gasping for that last inch of earth.

Very well said Samyak! We need to start doing instead of all the talking about doing. Jessica was right I think, these environmental organizations are not doing much except talking about all the disasters. Let’s start getting some plans into action before it’s too late and it takes a lot more sacrifice on our part to bring things back. Problem is, people like things the way the are, they don’t want to give up a little now to stop these problems. Great post Samyak!

Yeah exactly, a little compromise with comfort can relieve us from a billion other problems aloof right now. Environment is degrading today undoubtedly! Let’s see if things settle down for the better !

I always like to do what I can to help the environment. I wrote a bit about forest fires back in early June when they were so bad around here, all because people were careless with campfires. People think, ‘we have so much forest, who cares if we lose a little’. If we keep burning it down we won’t have so much, and this far north it takes a long time to come back after a fire.
