Brothers-A disguised predilection

Heavenly as it was

Past midnight

Dark into the night

Scrolling down the screen

Figured out a dear soul !!

Reminiscing the fights..

That resembling bloodstream..

That motherly touch..and

The troubled waters we zipped through..

Came rushing back

No songs we sang along to

No roads we walked along

No ghost stories whispered

Kids as we were

All raw and crumbled

Past underneath the skin

Years will go by

Part of me treasures

The joy

When we’ll cross paths

Glassy eyed,with a smile

Fading into the dark light.

Leaving me transfixed.

I’ll wait for

The missing puzzle piece

The only treasure

We’re destined to hunt down

With fire in our eyes

Breaking the shackles

Drenched.

Ready to take on the stars

For they are witness

To our glory

Unfettered,we’ll run through

The trails

And enchanting it’ll be

To tread back triumphant.

I believe us when I close my eyes

On the edge of earth

Dancing to the tune

Hunting down

Our gleaming fortune.

Little me…that’s my brother!

Well written, this made me miss the fact that I do not have a brother as any of my siblings but, I have met amazing people in my life who have made me feel their presence compensates for the lack of brothers in my childhood. It made reflect upon them and smile on just how lucky and happy I am to have them in my life irregardless. Loved it. – Cezane

    1. Everyone deserves a soul that is as close as you share your blood with that person.Doesn’t matter whether you have a sibling or not.🤗

  3. Wow poem on the bond and fun times in those days! Childhood is one time when we follow our hearts and unafraid in finding joy. Your poem taps into emotions in a beautiful manner bro and that’s what reflection is all about. Love it 🙂
