It’s wisdom,right Ma?
Stutter beckoning a dilemma
As I gulped “Roti” and a bowl of
“Daal” after a sulking sunset.
Something irked me!
A creaking noise,
A camouflage of secrets.
“To abandon my own people is a sin, peace being the reason?”
“Yeah! Wisdom it is”
Rendering her answer, Ma seemed a tad off!
Through the crevices of heart, I could hear a desolate beating.
Household still recites,
that old verse Ma used to sing.
The doorsteps so senile,
Getting all upbeat after the song!
Ripples of shrieks still echo
As I wept my wit, my dreams into it.
The chiffon she savoured,
My whines she devoured,
Bangles she cremated,
Tears she gulped choking,
And a crib she thrives on!
Well! To this spectacle,
I’m a mere human,
Standing alone clueless
A sip of poison,
Perhaps will prove my worth.
Cause, world so stricken,
Is never enough
To admire the motherly framework,
Her nuances!
“People leave and to let them wither away ,not a sin!”
Besides all the answers she has,
She chokes on yet another hope,
Hope of redemption
Every second
Every day.
