Leaf at the graveyard

As I lay underneath a brambly tree,
The wistful autumn leaf,
Talks to me about death,
“Let’s mark this day”, said the leaf.
Reminding the old country side,
Bean fields seemingly a greenbed,
“How’d you end up here?”, Asked the lush green leaf.
“Summoned up by you, can’t you see”, I reminded gleefully.
Falling leaves on the graveyard were a sight to behold especially in this autumn break where everyone was busy mapping down their honeymoons.
“So, showin’ up for a cause??” Asked greeny, I assume I’m good at nicknames.
“Naah! Just thought what it’s like to grieve on a Friday evening with an appealing leaf”, I reassured.
“Well! A Date at the graveyard. Woahh! That’s lame, a bit cranky.”,said the leaf.
“Yeah, midnight dates- some rich kid shit. My heart thrives here, β€œground of the dead”.”
“Have you ever heard them talk?”, “Hmm??”, Greeny got interested now.
“The dead, do they talk?”, I cleared.
“Well, I’ve got a busy span. Today here, tomorrow at a god’s place, very transitory.”,Greeny heaved a long breath.
“Couldn’t be more exciting then!!”,I was happy now.
“Why??”, asked greeny.
“Breeze is your guardian..takes you everywhere.. Undefined destiny. Gracious!!”, I acknowledged.
“Trampled, spit at, even swept across, and this shiny existence doens’t last long.”, Greeny heaved again, a little goofy.
“We all have our complaints… which is fcuking psychotic.”, I resisted.
Greeny acknowledged and then came the breeze. It just came and took her. Got me cranked up.
This autumn breeze has in it, rudeness yet unfazed.
It never complains. Proud and ambitious.

Well! Yesterday, they came for the eulogy. No one intrigued me with their wit and scrawny memories.

Just this Greeny, a wanderlust, saw me home today.

Peace prevails…this autumn breeze is addictive. Gonna sleep now!

An effort to sue up your mind with a short tale..hope you like it.

Cheers.
